Grandma Reva's Halloween Party

Yesterday, we headed to grandma Reva's house for an afternoon of fun Halloween crafts, games, stories and yummy food. The kids all had a great time playing with their cousins along with all the activities. We lucked out with great weather too.

I had to leave early for a belly dance performance but everyone else stayed to played more games and told stories. Sounds like it was a lot of fun. I'm sure Aunt Ruby has photos of the other games. Thank you grandma Reva for another awesome Halloween party.

The Farmstead

Last weekend we met my sister Molly and her family at the Farmstead in Meridian for an evening of fun hayrides, corn mazes, pig races and much more.  We managed to get a few photos before it was too dark. Alysha invited her friend Lorali and they went in The Creature and Scream'n corn maze. Where people dressed up in scary costumes chase you with chainsaws and knives. Which they both thought was scary and fun. It was a nice evening and break from our crazy schedules.

Almost ready for Halloween

These are not the greatest photos but my candy house murals are huge and the garage is not. I'm glad that they are only cardboard since I have had to move them around a lot but I am really pushing my luck with the size. They are really warping and after cutting the door out so kids will be able to walk into the candy house it is really flimsy. Mike added a few pieces of wood on the inside to help it and I'm hoping it will at least make it until after Halloween. It's hard to tell from the photo but there is a lot of glitter on the siding to make it look a little more like candy.

I'm still working on one more mural of Papa and Mama bear looking for Goldilocks and baby bear.  Then it will be time to get everything set up.

Jurassic Quest

Last weekend we took a break from homework and chores to explore at the Idaho Center. We had a lot of fun learning about dinosaurs as we walked and took photos with all the cool dinosaur exhibits. Most of the dinosaurs moved and made sounds which helped it seem almost real. I don't remember all their names but Owen does. It was a fun afternoon.
