Our turkey visitor...

Last night Owen came inside to tell us there was a huge bird outside. It was a turkey! Not sure if it was someone's turkey or a wild one but it had just lost it's friend to the neighbor's dogs. It was hanging out on the neighbor's shed then came into our backyard. The kids, rabbits and dogs were very interested in him but he didn't stay around very long. If it hadn't been right at bedtime the kids would have followed him around the neighborhood. Made for an interesting evening.

Turkey in our back yard. Even the rabbits are watching him.

Dogs chasing the turkey but not getting to close.

First day at Heritage Community Charter School

Today was the kids' first day of school at the new Heritage Community Charter School two blocks away from us. Ashley and Owen had a great day with their new teachers. It's going to take Alysha a little while to adjust. We did get her class schedule rearranged so that she can go to Syringa middle school for orchestra.
I thought they looked really nice in their new uniforms.

Roaring Springs

With only five days left until school starts we decided to go to Roaring Springs. The weather cool down a little but the kids didn't mind. They played in the little kid area, the wave pool and the endless river. Alysha and her friend Ashley went on all the big slides. The boys went with grandpa Jack down a few big slides and had a blast. It was a fun afternoon. :)

Time to get ready for school

As our summer is coming to an end we have been getting our school uniforms fitted, embroidered and ready for school. The kids have been busy playing with their friends, playing in the pool and going for bike rides. Owen lost his top front teeth and got his first salon hair cut. It's amazing that he'll be a 1st grader this year. Ashley will be in 3rd grade and Alysha will be an 8th grader. For our last week of summer break we plan to go to Roaring Springs and a school BBQ.

Habibi Nada at the Malheur County Fair

Last night we performed at the Malheur County Fair in Ontario. It was a great show and we had a lot of fun.

Our candle dance.

I did my solo piece but changed my costume and choreography a little. :)
