CHS Homecoming

It is taking Alysha a while to get use to going to high school but she did dress up for video game day this week for homecoming. The freshman were Sonic so I made this t-shirt for her to wear and she found a matching hat. We couldn't find a Sonic shirt in her size so I took a boys shirt and cut the character off of it then ironed it onto a bigger t-shirt and added lettering. She got lots of compliments on it.

She was waffling back and forth about going to the homecoming dance or not. Her friend Melissa a few houses down from us talked her into going dress shopping then invited her to go with her and her other senior friends. I took a few photos before they headed to the dance. :)

My 38th birthday

Yes, this year I turned 38 not sure where the time had gone. I had a nice birthday with Mike and the kids. Thank you to everyone for all the birthday wishes, cards and gift cards. I got a new bike, some new clothes, huge breakfast burrito and a free mocha from dutch bros. We went to the Hyde Park Street Fair and looked at all the fun and crazy booths. I got a massage at one of them and could have stayed there all day. Alysha found a cool new bag and we watched my friend Liz belly dance with a live local band the 3B's on stage. Then we went to dinner at the Golden Dragon, yum. Followed by my birthday cheesecake. :)

P.S. I have a new blog just for all my paintings so if you would like to see what I've been working on check out http://stacylhardy.blog.com/ thanks.

Indian Creek Festival

Last weekend we went to the Indian Creek Festival to see the cardboard kayak race. We got a nice spot in the shade just pasted the bridge close to the creek. Then we went to the 4-H booth and the kids got to paint zebras. While the zebras were drying we walked around and looked at all the booths then stopped for ice cream at a new little ice cream shop. Then we watched the rubber duck race from the bridge. It was a nice afternoon.

Owyhee Dam & Snively Hot Springs

Yesterday, Mike wanted to take his nephew David and family to the Owyhee Dam then to have lunch at Snively hot springs for their last day here before heading home to Louisiana. It was a nice day for it too. We all enjoyed a soak in the warm water. Then we headed back to our house to BBQ hamburgers. It was a fun week and was great to meet Casey and Tristan. We hope they will come back soon.

Family get-togethers

We all went over to Carla and Cliffs for David's awesome BBQ ribs and tons of other yummy food on Ruby's only free day. It was busy so I didn't get very many photos. Here is one with David, Ruby and Mike in Carla's front yard. Then one of Owen and Landon playing with blocks in the living room. We all had a great time even if it was short.

Silver City

Labor Day weekend Mike's nephew and family came to visit from Louisiana. Mike wanted to take everyone to see Silver City, Idaho. It's an old mining/ghost town. It was a bumpy drive but beautiful. The kids got to collect their own crystals and check out all the old buildings. It was a nice afternoon.
