Thanksgiving

We celebrated Thanksgiving at my mom's house. Cody was unable to come so in his place was my wooden turkey. Then Grandpa Jack fired his mini canon uncle Bill made him for his birthday. We enjoyed a lovely evening with family and wonderful food. Happy Thanksgiving.

Preparing for Thanksgiving

As we have lots of time to kill while the kids are home from school, we have been trying to stay busy. Mike and I have been busy working on my wooden turkey centerpiece. The kids colored and cut out paper "I am Thankful for" leaves which we filled out and hung up. The girls made pies to take to Grandma Francee's for Thanksgiving. I folded paper napkin turkeys to decorate the Thanksgiving table with. We are very fortunate to have a loving family, friends, a job, a warm house, plenty of food, pets and wonderful teachers in our lives. We wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Indian Creek Tree Lighting

Last night we went downtown Caldwell to the Indian Creek Tree Lighting. Ashley and Owen got to see Santa and Mrs. Claus, a reindeer and a camel. We walked around to see all the decorations and enjoyed the Christmas music. Then we counted down to the lighting of the Christmas tree. Was a great way to start off the holidays.

Alysha's 14th Birthday

Today, Alysha turned 14. Where has the time gone.  She decided she wanted a Hello Kitty cake so I spent the day making this one. She got up early and opened her present from her dad and was super excited to find a new laptop. Then I took her cupcakes at school to share with her friends. In the evening we celebrated with my family and she receive lots of Fan Mail as she called it, wonderful cards and birthday wishes. Thank you to everyone for all her great gifts.

This is HALLOWEEN!

Halloween this year was a busy one but lots of fun. After weeks of painting we set up our Wonderland maze. It took us a day to get the black plastic up and decorations in place. Then the wind kept blowing things down so we had to do a few repairs but over all it turned out great. We had quite a few trick or treaters come through and a few neighbor kids that liked to just go through the maze a few times. It was a late night but tons of fun.
