Discovery Center of Idaho

Yesterday, we met my sister, Mason and Delaney at the Discovery Center in Boise. The kids had a great time exploring and playing with all the cool science experiments and displays. It's always a fun activity. Then we went to Molly's for lunch and to swim in the pool.

Oregon Coast Vacation Part 2

Part way though our vacation Ashley caught a stomach bug and was sick for a good 24 hours so we hung out at grandpa's house. The next day she felt a little better but not perfect. Aunt Lee took us school clothes shopping. Where we found all the kids new shoes and a couple new outfits. That afternoon Mike's nephew Jasson and his son Kye came over from Portland to visit with us so we went down to River Front park to play and ride the carousel. That evening my grandfather took all of us to dinner at the Roadhouse grill. Kye loved getting to throw the peanut shells on the floor. It was great to see them.

Then to finish up our vacation we took a trip over to Lincoln City. We stopped for lunch at a cute little diner with a cool mural. Then we headed to the beach to play in the sand. It was foggy and windy but the kids still had fun. Mike built a pyramid sand castle. Once we were all cleaned back up we headed over to the sand castle contest where we saw lots of really cool sand castles being built. It was a nice day even if the weather wasn't the best. The next day we loaded up and headed home. We had a nice week over all. Thank you so much to my awesome grandfather and aunt Lee. :)

Oregon Coast Vacation Part 1

This year we decided to rent a mini van for our Oregon coast vacation. I'm not big on mini vans but boy was this one nice. 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan. Three rows of seating worked great with the kids, dogs and all our junk. I loved driving it and did the most driving I have ever done on any of our vacations. My aunt Lee said it was like riding in a limo. Anyways, we drove to my grandfather's house in Salem. Where he took the kids to get pizza and play games at Pietro's. Owen won 1000 tickets on one game then it took them a long time to pick out their prizes. The following day we all loaded up in the van and headed to Silver Falls National Park for a picnic and some sight seeing. It was a beautiful day and a nice drive in the country. The next day was a busy one. We drove to McMinnville, Oregon to the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum and the Wings & Waves Water park. I think Mike was in Heaven, man did we see airplanes. We had a nice time walking around looking at all the different planes then we explored the space museum with Apollo 11 and a lot of other things. As if that wasn't enough for one day, we also went to the new water park full of indoor fun. Water slides, a wave pool, water play area and more. WOW!!

Malheur County Fair

My belly dance troupe performed at the Malheur County Fair in Ontario this weekend. It's our last performance for the summer. We all had a great time even though it was HOT.  Here are a few photos from our dances.

Lego camp and back-to-school mural

Ashley and Owen learned a lot in the motorized Lego Camp. They used solar and wind power to power their Legos. Then used little motors for others. It was a great class. While they were busy building I was at home painting a back-to-school mural for the elementary registration. :)

Alysha is home from Texas

Alysha returned home from her stay with her dad and brother in Texas. She had a fun time with them. We are all happy to have her back. Her baby bearded dragon was happy to see her too. She has been having fun catching up with her cousin Amanda and friends this week.
