Our first summer trip was to Salem to see Great Grandpa Richard. We lucked out and had two days of sunny weather and two days of slightly cloudy which was perfect. The kids enjoyed watching the Disney channel and Owen was glued to Animal Planet while we were at the house. Our first day we all went to the park and grandpa took the kids on the carousel. Day two we went to the Iris Festival where the kids went on the carnival rides and played a few games. Day three we watched a pet parade and visited aunt Lee's friend who breeds teacup Chihuahua's and has a few miniature ponies. Alysha tried really hard to bring a puppy home but they were $400-$600 and Ashley loved the little pony. Day four we went to OMSI and explored lots of hands on science exhibits. We even took a tour on the USS Blueback submarine. It was a very busy day and we didn't see everything at OMSI. We had a great time with Grandpa Richard. :)
