The Blog that Time Forgot!

Major Chemo brain is to blame for the last few months I haven't posted anything to our blog. So I will try to go down memory lane and post what we have been doing.


Fall is my favorite season and when things around here start to get REALLY busy, as if life isn't always busy.

Mike and I kept busy cleaning up the yard, making some grape jelly, we went to my parents house and make apple cider with the kids and motorcycle ride here and there.





Halloween 2009 - Owen as the dragon, Ashley as the Asian Princess, Alysha the Vampire and Amanda as the mummy.


In between all the fun Alysha had the H1N1 flu then Mike got it, Ashley had a strep throat and Owen and I managed to not catch it.




We went to Chuck E Cheese for Alysha's birthday.





Wow, I can't believe Alysha is already twelve seems like yesterday when she was just a little tiny baby only 5 lbs. So much has changed in twelve years. One fun thing is I can now borrow her shirts and shoes once in awhile.


After Alysha's birthday my camera had problems so I don't have photos but we took on remodeling the house. We painted the living room and hallway then the ceiling. We ripped out the really old gross carpet and had new carpet installed. Then we repainted the kitchen and cleaned out a bunch of junk. So our house is looking nice except do not look in my room or the office they are a mess which I hope to get to.




Once the house was back in order I made a trip to see my Grandfather for his 80th birthday. We had a great time. His neighbor lady made him 80 homemade egg rolls that were to die for.

Labor Day Weekend we all went to Anderson Ranch for Mike's brother Bob's birthday/family reunion. It was a busy weekend full of fun and tricks! You should watch your back with this family! :)

Happy Birthday to Me!

I got a new baby as my early birthday present. Meet "Bella" she is 12 weeks old and a Chihuahua and Pomeranian mix. We are all having lots of fun with her and she's been really good so far.

Owen's 1st Day of Preschool

Owen has been waiting two years for his chance to go to preschool. Being the littlest is hard sometimes. Watching your sisters go to school where they have fun sand tables and playgrounds while he had to go home with mom all the time. Today, he was big enough to go to his own school and make his own friends. He has always been attached to my leg so I wasn't sure how he would do but I got told "to leave, mom!" so that answered my question. His teacher said he did great and I had to chase him down and drag him to the car afterwards so I think he loved it! Now I just need to get use to having three hours to myself. Sounds wonderful but I felt lost and guilty that I should be volunteering at one of the kids three schools or something. I think I need a few weeks of some free time first or at least a nap once in awhile! :)

Back to School

The girls started school this week. Ashley started first grade and is riding the bus without her big sis. She had a good first day but thought it was a really LONG day. Alysha was sick for the first day of school but managed to go on the second day. She is really nervous about starting middle school and wished she was smaller so she could still go to Washington elementary.

Oregon Coast Vacation

Alysha got home from her trip to see her dad in Texas and we celebrated her return by going out for dinner. Then we headed to my grandfather's house in Salem, Oregon to visit for a few days before school starts.



We went to the Bonneville Dam Fish Hatchery.
