Ashley's 5th grade graduation

Above is Ashley with her flowers for her teacher on the last day of school. Which also was her 5th grade graduation. She is on to the middle school next year. Her graduation ceremony was short and sweet followed by refreshments and a slide show. Then they spent the rest of the morning playing games.

Alysha off to Texas

Wow, another school year flew by as Alysha finished her sophomore year at CHS. A few days later and she was at the airport headed to Texas for eight weeks to visit her dad and brother. When she comes back it'll be time for family reunions and Roaring Springs.

Below is a photo of Owen's final Spanish Science Project on Capilary Action of water in plants. I am so glad to get a break from home projects like this for a little while, anyways.

Memorial Day BBQ

Memorial Weekend was a busy one. We spent Sunday helping my sister and brother-in-law paint at their new house. (forgot to take photos) Then Monday we had Mike's family over for a BBQ in the back yard. The weather was perfect and we had a lot of fun.

Brother's Park

We went for a walk after dinner to Brother's Park to fly Owen's kite. The sky was very pretty with all the dark clouds.

Gravel, dirt, and lots of sand....

Well, the weather is finally nice and warm but not to hot so I took advantage of the kids still being in school and practiced riding my motorcycle. It's been a little while so I need some practice.

Day 1 - We spent a few hours out at Pickle Butte on the sand, gravel and more sand. I'm not to fond of either so it takes a lot of concentration and crossing my fingers that I don't bite it. All went good.

Day 2 - We headed out to the Owyhee's by Adrian and followed a really washed out track through the dessert hills. It was harder than I was planning on doing that day but I did it with only biting it twice in the 10 inch or more deep sand going down a hill. It was a nice soft landing though.

Day 3 - We went back to Pickle Butte for more practice then took an easy drive out to Marsing. I love the pavement by the way. It is so much less work and all my muscles are hating me.

Now need to find a kid sitter and I can get some more practice.

FARE walk for Delaney

Sunday the 18th of May we got to together with my sister and her family to walk in the FARE walk for food allergy awareness on my niece Delaney's behalf. The weather was looking very storming so we wore our rain coats but the sun came out during the walk so it was perfect. Then we had a picnic in the park afterwards.

Lake Lowell

The kids got me to take a break from studying for my finals and we went out to Lake Lowell for a few hours. It was a nice evening and the boys practiced fishing. We watched all the birds nesting under a bridge and saw two rabbits. It was a nice little break.

Grandma Reva in the Ms. Senior Idaho American Pageant

Grandma Reva was elegant and graceful through out the entire pageant. We all had a great time watching the pageant then went to Reva's for a family dinner.

Spring Break Day 6

We stopped at the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center in the Dalles on our final day in Oregon. It just so happened to be free kids admission day for spring break, awesome. I've seen the sign from the freeway many times while driving through to Salem but we have never had time to stop. The rain had followed us so we skipped the nature walk but the inside exhibits were cool. We had the place to ourselves and had fun exploring.
