Last days at Washington Elementary

We are finishing up the 2008 school year with only six more days at Washington Elementary. This is the last year the kids will use the original Washington Elementary buildings which are 100 years old. By fall the new building will be ready for classes and the old building will be gone. Alysha will be moving on to the Sringa Middle School to start 6th grade, Ashley will be a big 1st grader and Owen will start preschool.

These last few days of school are keeping us all busy with class field trips, Alysha's last orchestra concert for the year, the school carnival, spirit week, family day at school, 5th grade graduation, kindergarten graduation and parties. Here are just a few photos and I'll post more later.

Ashley's Day Surgery

Yesterday, was Ashley's day surgery at West Valley Medical Center here in Caldwell. She had four cavities filled and one crown put on a molar. Her dentist wanted to do all the work while she was asleep so it would be easier on everyone. Ashley did great and was such a big girl. I'm glad it's over!!

Spring Butterflies!

Our painted lady butterflies emerged from their chrysalides this week. We have had a lot of fun watching them each change from caterpillars to butterflies. Ashley and Owen decided they needed wings so they could pretend to be butterflies and even tried flying in the back yard.

Started week 2

Ended up taking a week off from going to the hospital since my liver wasn't handling the interferon very well. So just started week 2 and will have new labs on Monday to see how my liver is doing. Over all doing good and keeping busy with the girls last few weeks of school. They are counting down the days until summer vacation. With my grandfather's help we got Owen registered to start preschool in the fall and he can't wait. This will be the last summer before all three kids are in school.

Gone Fishing

Mike and Owen decided to go fishing at the Caldwell ponds while the girls were at school and I stayed home to enjoy the quiet for a little while. They had fun watching the fish swim by and Owen practiced casting.
